An incredible milestone and a heartfelt thank you to everyone at Hollister Incorporated for their outstanding support of the Sunflower Children’s Hospice.
Over the past eight months, Hollister employees have raised an amazing €35,691.29 in support of our mission to build the first children’s hospice outside of Dublin.
This incredible fundraising comes as we celebrate a new three-year partnership with Hollister Ballina, with employees pledging to support the Sunflower Children’s Hospice through a monthly employee fundraising draw. The partnership coincides with Hollister celebrating 50 years in the Ballina community, having first opened its facility in 1976.
The support from Hollister employees has extended beyond the monthly draw, with the team also recently raffling 10 All-Ireland Final tickets among their associates, raising a fantastic €5,620 for Sunflower Children’s Hospice.

Speaking about the partnership, Shane Caher, Sr. Director Plant Operations & General Manager of Hollister, said:

He added that the partnership was particularly meaningful as it was “driven by our associates – people who wanted to make a real difference in their own community.”
Hollister has become an incredible charity partner, standing with us on this journey every step of the way. From their monthly fundraising draw to initiatives such as the All-Ireland Final ticket raffle, their employees continue to find new ways to make a meaningful difference.
Martina Jennings, CEO of Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation, said:
“Hollister have been part of the Ballina community for 50 years, and we are truly grateful that they have chosen to support the Sunflower Children’s Hospice for the next three years.”
Martina added:
“I would like to sincerely thank all of the employees at Hollister who take part in the monthly draw. Their generosity brings us a significant step closer to making the vision of Sunflower Children’s Hospice a reality.”
Together, we are helping to create a lasting legacy for generations to come – a regional development that will ensure no family caring for a child with a life-limiting illness has to face that journey alone.
