Music lovers, families and visitors from near and far are invited to attend Lár Lúnasa Live 2026, a three-day celebration of music, arts and community spirit taking place from Friday, 14 August to Sunday, 16 August in Achadh Mór Village, Co. Mayo.
The festival was officially launched by celebrated musician and singer Seán Keane at a special event in Eileen’s Bar, Aghamore, bringing together performers, organisers and supporters ahead of what promises to be a memorable weekend of entertainment and fundraising.
Hosted across Eileen’s Bar and the Big Red Barn, Lár Lúnasa Live will run daily from 12 noon until midnight, featuring an exciting programme of live performances, exhibitions and family entertainment.
The festival will showcase a wide variety of music and arts, including traditional Irish music, folk, country, bluegrass, jazz, pop, Spanish guitar, brass and reed classical performances, choral music, poetry, sculpture and appearances from special guests.
While Lár Lúnasa Live promises to be a fantastic weekend of entertainment, it is also a celebration of community and fundraising in support of Sunflower Children’s Hospice.
Every donation raised from the festival will contribute towards the building costs of Sunflower Children’s Hospice, a vital project being developed by Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation to provide specialist children’s palliative care and family support closer to home for families across the west and north-west of Ireland.
Currently, families outside Dublin often face long journeys to access specialist children’s hospice care. Sunflower Children’s Hospice aims to change this by creating a dedicated facility where children and families can receive compassionate care, support and respite when they need it most.
The three-day festival will feature an outstanding line-up of musicians and performers, including:
alongside many more talented musicians, artists and performers throughout the weekend.
Lár Lúnasa Live also continues a long tradition of music and fundraising in Aghamore. Organisers are celebrating the community spirit that has supported hospice fundraising in the area for many years, following previous music events and fundraisers that brought people together in aid of important causes.
The festival is a chance for the community to come together once again — enjoying great music, meeting friends and supporting a project that will make a lasting difference for children and families.
Admission to Lár Lúnasa Live 2026 is free, with voluntary donations welcomed throughout the weekend.
Save the date, bring your family and friends, and join us in Achadh Mór for a special weekend of music, culture, community and fundraising in support of Sunflower Children’s Hospice. 🌻🎶💛
