Join us this Friday for the Sunflower Festival, a fantastic Family Fun Day organised and run by our brilliant charity partner Pamex Limited, all in aid of the Sunflower Children’s Hospice. MC’d by Alan Clarke, it promises to be a brilliant afternoon of entertainment, music and community fun for all the family!
Live Music & Entertainment
From 1pm, enjoy two fantastic acts on the Main Stage:
Shake Rattle & Ceol (1:00pm – 2:00pm) a fun-filled interactive music session for children and families, with singing, dancing and plenty of audience participation to get everyone in the festival spirit.
Ciaran & Lisa (2:00pm – 3:30pm) a fantastic mix of live music and entertainment for all ages. Sit back, sing along or hit the dance floor as they provide the soundtrack to a wonderful afternoon.
Dunk Tank Challenge
Think you’ve got what it takes? For just €5 you get 3 shots at the target – choose your weapon, a football or a hurley and sliotar and see if you can send our brave volunteers into the water! Our confirmed contenders are Donna Sheridan (1:00–1:30pm), Harry Barrett (1:30–2:00pm), Blackie Gavin (2:00–2:30pm) and local pharmacist Donnacha Kearney from John O’Donnell’s Pharmacy, Castlebar. Children can participate with parent/guardian consent. Don’t forget a change of clothes – just in case!!!
Pawsome Dog Show
Calling all dog lovers! From 1pm, enter your furry friend into one or more of our fun categories including Best Wiggle Butt, Fluffiest Tail, Best Puppy Dog Eyes, Most Likely to Steal Your Dinner, Golden Oldie, Cutest Puppy and many more. Entry is €5 per category, on the day. Dog treats and rosettes for all category winners!

Exotic Zoo, Vintage Car Display, Mega Games Van, Food Trucks and lots more throughout the day!
All in aid of the Sunflower Children’s Hospice – helping us build the first children’s hospice outside of Dublin, bringing specialist palliative and respite care closer to home for children and families across the West of Ireland.
